I have done stand up, on an open mic night at a comedy club. That is quite an experience!

As a crutch? No, never have. But I think many do.

I see humor as an outlook. It's a quirky way of looking at the world, and explaining truths. It's a way of pricking the bubble of the dead serious, and a way to tickle the sides of people who obviously need cheering up.

Humor is a good way of coping. Used as a crutch? I don't know? It does no good to cripple yourself with angst...smile and laugh at the human condition.

Oneofthestormboys · 56-60, M
Yes I do - humour is a great deflector, and it helps with my depression immensely.
FoleysFollies · 51-55, F
@Oneofthestormboys mine too lol if I can't laugh at myself how could I possibly laugh at someone else 😊
Oneofthestormboys · 56-60, M
Absolutely. I don’t mind in the least if anybody thinks I’m an arse! 😂
That would be the least of my worries.@FoleysFollies
That would be the least of my worries.@FoleysFollies
Most definitely. I’m not sure if it’s good but it feels like a necessity.
Cantsayno · 56-60, M
I do. I don’t like drama. So I try and crack a joke to lighten things up.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
Yeah, I sure do too.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
Sometimes.
Smokey · 46-50, M
I suppose I do
SW-User
Yes I might be dead already if I couldn't laugh at myself or my situation every once in a while
