How would you feel if a relative said to you, "You have a cute little body"?

(After you've said outloud, "I look fat.")

I've heard some people say it's creepy, others say it's normal. 🤨

Can’t say that I have but sounds a little weird

If it was a female i’d take it but a man of my family saying that to me: 🤨😐
chuck7882 · 61-69, M
It's a little inappropriate but I think it was just meant as a
compliment in response to what you said.

That sounds a bit odd to me. Most relatives just talk about how tall I am. I'd prefer to keep it that way :P

We all, have our preferences and quirks. To,each his own. 😇

There are ways of saying it that are less likely to be misconstrued. I'd expect a relative to say, "You look great" and nothing worse than that. Part of what makes it creepy for me is that they might not realise it's creepy.
Well... hmmm 🤔 male or female?
How were they looking at you?
Seems like a compliment to ease the looking fat insecurity

It is not normal from any relative.
firefall · 61-69, M
In that context, I'd take it as complimentary.
Other contexts, yeah probably creepy.
LookingForIt987 · 51-55, M
That wording seems more than a little creepy to me.

I don't mind my sister saying that to me because that's just how we talk to each other, lol. But anyone else, that would be pretty weird for me.

It really depends on what is normal for people and their families. Like I said, my sister and I have made remarks like that to each other. Not too long ago, I jokingly called her "sexy bitch" for this tight dress she was wearing. Many would consider that and a lot of things my sister and I do and say with each other to be creepy regardless of our reasons, but we know there's nothing creepy about our intentions for doing so. All that matters is what's comfortable and normal for the individuals involved.

A relative? Yeah, I'd be creeped out
ThePerfectUsername · 70-79, M
Phrases like "pleasantly plump" or "cuddly" might be acceptable, but "cute little body" from a relative just screams of pent up latent sexual urges.

It is creepy lol

I'd say thank you.
If they said it while licking their lips I'd say ...wtf?
My family like to openly talk about how my boobs are huge and I have no ass. It's very creepy.
JupiterDreams · 31-35
@JupiterDreams yeah it's weird, every family get together. Without fail.
