What's it like to be American ?

I like it here. The land is beautiful, the people are various, and diverse, and even in many small towns, you can hear 4 or five languages. In my city of 100,000, there are probably well over two dozen languages spoken here on a daily basis, from Korean to Punjabi to Arabic, to German to Mandarin Chinese and so on. As a language lover, it's awesome! Last week I learned 'hello/goodbye' in Korean. I, being part of a smaller religion appreciate my religious freedom, but appreciate being able to explore others beliefs. I'm happy to be an American and to have seen part of this country. But, I'd like to travel the entire world, which has beauty in different forms.

well if you didn't know we are all rich beyond comparison and we don't have any sort of problems to deal with like the rest of the world does, whatever we want we just snap our fingers and it appears like magic. We have cars, houses, all sorts of luxuries at our disposal. everything we touch turns to gold....that's what some people like to think and I'll let them.

Imagine...

* Being able to purchase unlimited amounts of deep-fried butter sticks - 24 hours a day! (there're zits on my Facebook)
* Making so much money that the government actually has to "borrow" some extra from you - every April. (please use form 1040)

Much like being English, with less impressive accents and a shorter history.

I love being an American. At least here we're convinced we're free. With all the deceptions of feeling almost safe.. But hey we have burning man
