Good question.
I’ve always had this (admittedly) irrational idea that it’s too late, because of not reaching certain goals and my life not turning out the way I’d planned, I’m a failure so alternative routes to fulfillment aren’t worth pursuing. So I’m in a kind of waiting to croak pattern.
If someone else here wrote that, I’d have a nice speech prepared about how that was total bullshit but damn it’s so much easier to give advice to others.
