Much like religion, politics drains one's intelligence and rationality. Often to the point where they become so fanatical, their state of mind is no longer even recognizable as human.

@BeefySenpie I'm mainly speaking from my own perspective. When someone is so devoid any logic and intelligence, I say they regress to where they share more in common with a damn troglodyte than an actual human being.
