What do you think of modern naming trends with nicknames?

I see it all the time on baby naming sites, where women will be like, "I'm going to name my son Finnigan Sebastian Gulliver Reed Smith and call him Finn."
I'm thinking okay...why don't you just name him Finn then? 🤔
I get giving a kid options, but not that many! 😁

I'd feel bad for the child to have to write out such a long name simply because his parents were attempting to come off as sophisticated.
