Is SW a good place to make friends?

Just asking because not everyone here are genuine...genuine as in using the real name and real photos (including me).

In a way, I am looking for that.
I mean this is a community, after all.

yes and no. There are genuine people here who are amazing but they are rare. There are also people here who seem amazing and like they are your friends but will turn on you at the drop of the hat if you have a difference of opinion to them.. just gotta be careful who you trust here

Yes, this is an online community. But it can be very risky and dangerous being online as well so being anonymous is the best thing in my opinion. One can reveal and share themselves (names and pictures) if they chose with people they have really gotten to know and trust.
