Is SW a good place to make friends?

Just asking because not everyone here are genuine...genuine as in using the real name and real photos (including me).

In a way, I am looking for that.
I mean this is a community, after all.

It's not that, but when we make friends, we usually meet in person or see their actual faces or at least know their real name.
There's a lot in question when not showing how we actually look like.
