Broken relationships, trouble finding jobs, loneliness, government corruptions, mental illness.

BlueVeins · 22-25
A collapsing biosphere, rising sea levels, increased proliferation of tropical diseases, horrific wealth inequality, and a job market that's impossible to please.

this whole "the planet is going to die if we do not do anything" is a false flag to me.
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@SW-User True, and frankly I can't comment on their accuracy as I don't know enough about the subject.

I would be far more trusting of data is Climate Change were not a multi-million dollar industry.

@Quizzical I hear ya. It is hard to know what to believe. There is nothing that money doesn’t have it’s grubby little paws in. Both For & against.

Err on the side of caution- build a submarine:)

@SW-User Lmao, sounds like a plan 😂

Unaffordable housing, and job due loss to automation, and AI.
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@chrisCA I go back and forth on this. It could be a good thing.

Mostly I think automating most work will equalize a lot of people and push us towards a basic living wage and social programs and make us more like the Federation in Star Trek. Or we might just end up like Wall-E.

These are my "best case" scenarios.

It's more likely the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer and we will become more of a black mirror dystopia.

@Doomflower I suppose it depends on where you live. Some nations take better care of its citizens than others.

continued mental health issues, degradation of the environment, a mess of political gaffs made by older generations driven by their own self interests...

Socializing, I think there will be more of public fear and communication issues. People love the internet and feel it's real.

loneliness, poverty of mind and spirit, difficulty of affording proper housing, broken dreams and lots of sore necks

I could write a book about it but the biggest one might be keeping the planet habitable for humans.

Fresh water. Famine and drought.

@Quizzical Yes it would take and astronomical amount of energy to boil enough for 7 billion people to survive on a daily basis.

https://www.canstarblue.com.au/electricity/boiling-kettle-costs-think/

That should give you an idea of the cost involved and explains some of the issues of boiling water better than I can.

@Quizzical ps this is a kinda ‘let them eat cake’ moment 😜

The zombie apocalypses or the machine uprising.

Wow man, it ain't gonna be like it is now. Although I was against it a couple of decades ago, they need to keep the technology we have now. The challenges ahead? It's gonna take a series of books/videos to answer that.

@SW-User Energy is no problem really if we switched away from petrochemical, wood burning etc etc and to much cleaner sources.

They can build houses these days that are so energy efficient the householders can sell electric to the power companies.
