@chrisCA I go back and forth on this. It could be a good thing.
Mostly I think automating most work will equalize a lot of people and push us towards a basic living wage and social programs and make us more like the Federation in Star Trek. Or we might just end up like Wall-E.
These are my "best case" scenarios.
It's more likely the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer and we will become more of a black mirror dystopia.
