Fresh water. Famine and drought.

@SW-User I have never understood why fresh water seems to be an issue... We have a glut of water, and the ability to desalinate it.

@Quizzical Because it is exceptionally inefficient. Salt water is highly corrosive to boot, so you won’t get very much value for money out of that expensive equipment before you have to replace it. And that is only salt water.

All other types need to be purified and cleaned before it is safe for consumption. Fresh water is going to become a premium commodity in the near future I feel.

@SW-User But, you can remove salt from water by boiling it and catching the steam 🤔

@Quizzical Yes it would take and astronomical amount of energy to boil enough for 7 billion people to survive on a daily basis.
