A lot of people who speak out against naturists refer to the biblical passage that talks of modesty to "prove" that being naked is a "sin" in the eyes of God...the problem is when you read that portion of the bible, nudity/not wearing clothes is not mentioned either (it actually talks about the wearing of clothes that bring attention to yourself). It is a mystery as to how "modesty" got linked to and has the definition of the naked body.
