Is it true that most georgous women choose average looking guys?

Im not saying there's anything wrong with that. Just curious. My mom was a drop dead gorgeous, stunning woman and my dad is an average looking guy but always looking handsome. Some good looking guys asked my dad how did he score with a beautiful woman?
My dad has an amazing personality, made my mother laugh and he is a charmimg, sweet loving man.
My mom chose my dad over her good looking ex and I'm glad she did.
