A neighbor of mine gave me this advice and I was wondering what others thought about it?

She said that you should NEVER accept a gift from someone that you don't like, because when you bring that gift inside your house, then you are poisoning your atmosphere with negativity.
She says that if you must take the gift, then you should pass it on or donate it as soon as possible.
Do you believe that objects themselves can transfer negativity?
I thought it made sense.

The object is an inanimate object and cannot influence...

Humans attach meaning to objects and that's the effect an object can have, through human perception or projection...

@faefairy: yes indeed
And how do you propose the person influences the "slow moving energy" with "negative" energy?

How do you define "negative"* energy as described in the post?

* as opposed to negative charge

@faefairy: being fair i don't think the poster was talking about physic concepts and wormholes

@faefairy: people have psychological and physiological awareness if that's why you mean and yes there is energy

Rocket scientist?

You mention energy as if this is a homeopathy like concept

@faefairy: physics doesn't simply explain anything

There is no evidence that humans can store an energy (positive or negative) in an inanimate object in the way the poster meant

24 million articles on medline... I challenge you to find one that evidently supports your statement If you I'd be delighted to read it and change my mind

Again people attach meaning to objects in a psychological sense and that can effect humans but that is not the same as saying the object holds the "negative energy"

@yeronlyman: Well actually I did mean it in ALL senses, whether it be psychologically or spiritually or what not.
The object coming from a person that you don't like would automatically cause negative feelings, whether or not you believe in negative energy or the like.

@faefairy: I had already mentioned the psychological aspect in the original reply to the poster is you read it

And I mentioned it again above
The inanimate object does not hold the "negative energy"

@NineLives: i had addressed the human interaction aspect in my original reply
It's in print above

My point is purely in the inanimate object being able to hold "negative energy"
You asked the question:

"Do you believe that objects themselves can transfer negativity?"

There is no evidence to support this thesis

24 million articles on medline... I challenge you to find one that evidently supports the statement...

@faefairy: holy moly... you need to read the question the poster asked

Do you believe that objects themselves can transfer negativity?

Well I did write DO YOU BELIEVE. I didn't ask for facts. I wanted opinions to be honest.
I can easily google facts.

@faefairy: Are you a scientist?

Can you define energy?

And you are saying an object can store "negativity" from person.. Because I'm
Not sure you really know what you're actually talking about

Defensive... How?
I presume that's a ploy to control rational debate

Again 24 million articles on medline (biomedical and physical sciences)
One quality citation

Thanks

@NineLives: absolutely and I answer what I believe to your question

Don't get me wrong it's a good question to ask...

Didn't ask for facts
You mean you wanted to assume not presume
NineLives · 41-45, F
@yeronlyman: Well I'm sort of on the fence about evidence and facts anyway. Plenty of things have been presented to humans before as being factual, when in reality they were the furthest thing from the truth.
I wanted to hear opinions, because I like to look at the BIG picture of everything and not just stare at a tidy tiny little box of "facts".
I hope you get what I am saying! 😉

@faefairy:

"@yeronlyman: You use medline like it's a valid source of information? LOL, enough said."

Wow... I'm speechless. Seriously?

Fae what do you use for your source of information?
I'm honestly interested
SW-User
@NineLives: there is a lot to answer to your last reply 🤔

Best of luck 👍🏻🙂
