I look forward to the aftermath.

I listened to a discussion about it last night. There is a case to be made that if we withdraw ISIS will re-form, and the Kurds, who supported us there, will all be killed in a genocidal purge and that we would be abandoning them to their deaths.
The opposing argument was that our presence there in Syria was never officially approved by Congress, and that we are not at war in Syria. We were responding to the use of chemical warfare, and that we should not remain because we are not at war.
Left unsaid, and present in the minds of all those still capable of thinking, are Putins recent veiled threats regarding his hypersonic weapons. We do not have comparable weapons at the moment, nor are we able to stop hypersonics. Putin does NOT want us to remain in Syria, because it is crucial to Russia to have access to the Mediterranean and to oil shipments. If we withdraw, Putin can continue with his plans there.

@4meAndyou it's not my version, it's what happened with official documentation. I can see that it's making you angry so I'll give it one more try. Have a look a mark curtis, historian. There are plenty more but that's the most relevant to this topic. It only takes 30minutes of your time and you will see it from a different point of view.......imperialism

In what way is it good?

@SW-User you're speaking sense......expect to be blocked my friend.
The dominant powers UK then US have been at war in the middle East since well before ww1 and never for.the reasons of "democracy and humanitarian reasons". It's always economic and strategic in protecting private profit

@gol979 I've been reading NY Times since morning. And apparently people who have been throwing lambasting at Trump for Khasoggi murder case, are now speaking against Trump coz he wants to pull out from war. People have problem when they feel Russia trying to control US election, but no problem when US tries to abuse others sovereignty. I'm confused. Lol

No I most certainly do not...in no way is this a good idea...he has opened the door for Putin and his Army to move in. This will send a message of distrust to all our Allies all over the world, those that we have left anyway. The monster moron has to be stopped. His party needs to reel him in. He is lashing out because he knows his goose is cooked by the Muller investigation....Mr. President, this move will not garner you any prizes. You will eventually be defeated and locked up for treason.

@AlmostAnAngel the US are an invading force in syria......I'm not sure what perceived benefits of having the US forces on the ground? Please don't say to stop "terrorism", well you can but there are so many reasons why that's a load of shit

SW-User
@AlmostAnAngel How come he is a moron for stopping support to this war when US killed thousands there? US was never there to save lives. Just like US givec logistic support to KSA and it kills thousands in Yemen.

"Why should the US be the world's policeman?"
US: "We are leaving Syria"
Everyone: " " You assholes"

@FreeSpirit1 Well US invaded Syria, not to work as a police force. No one from Syria asked US help. US has a long history to oppose and try to end Asad regime which has been getting support from Russia. Trump did something what Russia has been wanting for years.
