It depends, are you doing it to better yourself and/or further your career or are you doing it just for something to do?

@Astro Well that's a worthwhile goal to reach for. An Associates degree in Business takes about 2 years full time, (longer if you do part time nights.) If you actually plan on doing your clients hair yourself instead of just managing the salon, you'll also need to be trained in and licensed by whatever state you live in. (I'm assuming you are in the U.S.)
