Tell me about the history of the region that you live at.

Les Paul invented the electric guitar near where I am. About 5 miles away the Republican party established the underground railroad to help slaves escape the southern bounty hunters who would keep freed slaves from leaving the slavery states and resell them into slavery. Farther north the great Ice Bowl for gridiron football was established that eventually became the nation's Superbowl game. The first big breweries in the country were begun here with the Pabst families and a yearly contest to choose the best beer. During the prohibition years this was the snuggling route for Canadian whiskey and the home state of some of the most infamous criminals and gangsters. Home to the legendary Harley Davidson. The ice age trail and many sacred native American burial mounds that resemble Gibson and Fender guitars when viewed from a fly over. Frank Lloyd Wrights large free standing dome church is here, and many other successful experimental architectures. The world's largest open air music celebration is held here every year called Summerfest. Also the EAA airshow and a yearly appearance by the blue Angels and the Thunderbirds. Once was home to American Motors and Nash Jeep, OMC Evinrude, and Briggs and Stratton. And Holy Hill. A very large and tall twin towered church perched atop a tall hilltop dedicated to Mother Mary.

To the west are ancient caves and rocky arbor with plateus and cliffs that tower over the landscape. To the north are deep forests riddled with hills and dales with lakes and streams and untameable rapids. To the east a giant lake that became the death of more than one ship and crew. And not far south lies that place known once as mudville, now windy Chicago with a history in every part of town.

Not as old as Liverpool. But it has its moments in time. And this barely scratched the surface.

my city has been a human settlement for over 8000 years, was once called Hochelaga when it was a native settlement, then in 1535 the first European, Jacque Cartier, saw what is now called Montreal (named after the mountain which is in the center of it, Mont royal). its one of 5 biggest French speaking cities in the world, second largest city in Canada, it snows on average 60 days a year and temperatures often drop below -30c in the winter. it has the second highest number of restaurants per capita in north America, after New York.

I live in a region formerly ruled by the Six nations Indians. It's a green and fertile area of rivers and waterfalls where many crossings and portages were originally needed to travel about. It's a good place to live. We are prosperous and free of discrimination.

I'm half English. I live in Wisconsin. Some of my ancestors came from England in the 1840's.

Northern michigan was occupied, primarily, by native americans, i think until the 1600's. Then came the europeans getting in on the fur trade. Then came logging. Now, the lakes and rivers, and the very snowy winters, make this area a very popular tourist destination. Which, is now the biggest industry.

The history of my city is too complex lol, I’ll need to write a whole research paper about it.
