my dad still kisses me on the lips. and when I was a kid he would carry me around on his hip, anywhere, shopping, walking around outside, anywhere. my privates would rub against his hip bone. it is normal. father and daughter relationships are healthy and have much to do with the daughters healthy adult life.

100% with you. I believe discipline and verbal and physical affection are both vital to instilling happiness, security and self-confidence in people. Both are, or should be, acts of love. You are so lucky that you have these things!

People really need to get over their sexualization of everything.

I don't believe I've ever kissed either of my daughters on the lips, but that's not to say it would bother me if someone else kisses their child like that . Not everything is about sex . I can't see anything wrong with a father giving an affectionate kiss on the lips to his daughter or a mother to her son for that matter. There are parents doing far worse things to their children and as long as its done with the right intentions, what's the problem?

Its just prudes I tend to ignore things like that your always gonna get people who cant mind their own and to be honest its got nothing to do with anyone else so glad I am not famous .It must be hell having people following you around etc .

Different cultures have different rules. I’ve seen fathers and mothers kiss on the lips and nothing sexual about it in Europe. It’s a self made political correctness issue in the USA. Same for two men giving a loving hug. I give my brother a big hug and kiss as he’s my best friend.
