Dad Kissing Daughter On the Lips

David Beckham has been criticised over the last couple of days for posting a pic on Instagram of him kissing his daughter on the lips. She's SEVEN!!

What is wrong with people? Is he not allowed to show his daughter affection? Me and my Dad still peck on the lips and I'm nearly 22!

I mean there's nothing weird about it...if i'm going up to bed I'll say "Night" to him and give him a peck on the lips and tell him that i love him. No big deal...it's hardly like we're ramming our tongues down each others throats.

The world is in a right mess if a Dad can't show a bit of affection to his daughter without being criticised.

@MaryJo1996 Kissing on the lips isn't normal in every family, but there's nothing wrong with it. Both of my parents do it.

@SW-User I don't think "normal" comes into it...most kids just naturally grow out of it. I didnt, i like that me and my Dad are still close like that.

@MaryJo1996 Yeah my sister doesn't do it anymore, but I never cared. I have no problem if people reserve that kind of kiss for a partner, but that doesn't mean it's wrong when family members do it.

What do you mean? Both your parents kiss you on the lips or they kiss each other?

@SimplyTracie It's probably not as common, but I don't feel strange. If I did I wouldn't do it anymore, but I'm comfortable with it, whether it's my mom or dad.

@SW-User I’ve only seen fathers and older sons kiss on the cheek. Maybe it’s a cultural thing.
