Growing old is a part of life, being old is a choice.
LindaM · 61-69, F
@KillerQueen1 well there are things you can not change, appearance is one...state of mind is another...age changes us somewhat...as i grow older , i know its happening and now i like to rest and be still and not let my brain wonder around so much :)

I don’t think so.

Perhaps in the physical to most, but I know they still get jiggy...

When I think of older folks, I associate them with richness/wisdom.

You can learn so much from the older generations, and I desire that much from them.
Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M
Not to those around our age. I constantly find myself attracted to females around my age, and that shifts with age.
Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M
@LindaM good for you!!!! Because other than that one incident, I really think you’re cool.
LindaM · 61-69, F
@Ambroseguy80 aww thank you :) you are ok in my books too :)
Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M

SweetMae · 70-79, F

Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M
@SweetMae make it 90!!!

Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M
@SweetMae 😘
Only to shallow people.
I have this friend, she was commenting on how much better her figure was when she was a dancer. I pointed out how she came out of poverty to own two night clubs, how she runs them with mother-hen kind of love; how she prepares wonderful slow-cooked meals for her staff and patrons.
I told her THAT is true beauty. I may have stolen her heart too.
LindaM · 61-69, F
@Anonymartyr aww thats nice :)
Fernie · F
If you mean less desirable horizontally speaking...YES
iamnikki · 31-35, F
in certain ways, in other ways, no.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Well, i guess it all depends on your attitude to life and how well you've dealt with your experiences.

That plus a huge slice of luck in finding somebody who doesn't drive you crazy or that you do the same 😉
SW-User
From personal experience getting past 40 my desirability as an employee and for relationships has seemed to reduce every year. I think those that get both when they are younger and manage to hold on to both for the rest of their lives are very fortunate indeed. Those that lose one or both and have to try and find them later in life are really going to find it harder as there's both less opportunities and less interest.
SW-User
@LindaM Yes! Thanks for clarifying. It's not about desirability it's about opportunities. I believe it's exactly my situation with both work and relationships. Sorry you are going through it too :(
LindaM · 61-69, F
@SW-User it does suck but nothing i can do but go on with my day :)
SW-User
@LindaM Yeah exactly :)
SW-User
yes, that's how life works. Anyone who says no is being silly.
LindaM · 61-69, F
@SW-User are you including yourself?
SW-User
@LindaM of course
LindaM · 61-69, F
@SW-User bet you are handsome :)
ArnoldJRimmer · 56-60, M
Of course, human nature makes it so.
Youth is desireable and age is something to be pittied or ignored.

In the eyes of youth, old folks are both feared and laughed at.

Fear because they know one day they will be us

Laughed at because they are not us yet.
LindaM · 61-69, F
@ArnoldJRimmer well i dont know but i suppose that it is a fear of losing ourselves but im not giving up without a fight lol :)
ArnoldJRimmer · 56-60, M
@LindaM i am glad you can.
Fight it with all your being.
LindaM · 61-69, F
@ArnoldJRimmer right till the end :)
Focused · 31-35, M
I find older women way more desirable
Focused · 31-35, M
And that is why i have never been in a relationship before bcz i never felt attracted to my age group women and couldnt be with anyone older bcz of the age gap etc.
LindaM · 61-69, F
@Focused one day you will meet someone :)
Focused · 31-35, M
@LindaM :)
dentope3 · M
if you meet the right person, you are the most desirable woman in the world
nedkelly · 61-69, M
I doubt you will ever have this problem
LindaM · 61-69, F
@nedkelly thank you
Fawma123 · 46-50, M
Not at all beauty is in the eye of the beholder
LindaM · 61-69, F
@Fawma123 that is what they say :)
No...

Maybe we get desirable for different category of age...
SW-User
LindaM: You still look desirable.
LindaM · 61-69, F
@SW-User thank you :)
Groofydorkgerdo · 56-60, M
Inthink the less out going and confident we get the less desirable we get.
I be painfully shy in my youthnhad VERY few intimate realtionships.
I aint great looking nor am I lookimg either. That beimg said, inget flirted with more now then in my youth, not that it happens all that often.
Carver · 31-35, F
I think it really depends on the person. Some become less desirable on the outside but more on the inside and vice versa while some become more or less desirable in every aspect.
ms20182878 · 61-69, M
LindaM · 61-69, F

CharlieZ · 70-79, M
To whom?
May be there is ONE...
LindaM · 61-69, F
@CharlieZ oh i misunderstood your question and yes i agree. for only one :)
CharlieZ · 70-79, M
@LindaM In those terms, my friend, I´ll answer your original question.
"...the older we become the less desirable we will be?"
For THAT ONE?

My answer is: NO.
LindaM · 61-69, F
@CharlieZ got ya :)
Pfuzylogic · M
My Mother was worried about that and hurried up to marry another man for that very reason.
MachiavellianSpirit · 26-30, F
It's rather relative, i suppose. But i occasionally worry about the fact that i have a "shelf life" so to speak.
SW-User

do you think the older we become the less desirable we will be?

Quite to the contrary.
youngbull69 · 36-40, M
i find it the very opposite. the older you get the more desirable you are.
Northerner · 70-79, M
No way!! My little dog loves me more each day.. lol
LindaM · 61-69, F
@Northerner good :)
SW-User
physical aspect yes, personally not so much.
LindaM · 61-69, F

JimboUk · 31-35, M
For those without great characters, yes.
BeastK · 46-50, M
Unfortunately yes
LindaM · 61-69, F
@BeastK our bodies are not what they use to be but we are more than we use to be or at least i hope we are :)
BeastK · 46-50, M
@LindaM I'm still the same ball of fire I was when I was young. Physically that's not the case. I have a lot of chronic pain problems and I'm just not as I once was.
SW-User
Absolutely because we get wrinkly
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
That's why God invented roleplay.
Synyster · 51-55, M
At some point, yes.
St0ut · 51-55, M

LindaM · 61-69, F
@St0ut lol :)
St0ut · 51-55, M
