Thoughts on Trump pulling America out of the nuclear arms treaty?

Hm?

TheProphet · M
It's about time we did. The russians have cheated on every treaty we have with them.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TheProphet But now the Iranians are encouraged to produce nuclear weapons. They were forbidden from doing so under the treaty. Doesn't that concern you? Or do you trust Iran to have atom bombs?
TheProphet · M
@BlueMetalChick Let them have a bomb. The same with NK. The first time they use one their countries cease to exist.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TheProphet But then millions of their civilians will die, and millions of people in neighboring countries will die, and millions of people in whatever country they launched on will die. Wouldn't it be easier to just prevent them from having one in the first place?
TheProphet · M
@BlueMetalChick The agreement didn't prevent them. Only postponed it. If they launch they condemn their own people to die.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TheProphet But the agreement specifically said they weren't allowed to have a nuke, and they had to let the IAEA inspect their facilities whenever they wanted.
TheProphet · M
@BlueMetalChick Only for a set number of years. They cheated and hid materials before. No reason to think they would really honor any agreement.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TheProphet The IAEA inspected the Iranian facilities a total of fourteen times, and they found zero breaches of the deal.

It was only for a limited time though. At which point I guess they'd have to renew the contract or something.
TheProphet · M
@BlueMetalChick And who's to say they showed them everything. They have hidden materials before. They aren't to be trusted.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TheProphet Well we breached the contract twice in less than a year so that doesn't say much. And, I would think fourteen consecutive inspections by the world's leading authority on nuclear enrichment would have found at least some evidence of hidden materials. Besides, the FAS was in there too for a brief period looking for just that.
TheProphet · M
@BlueMetalChick The Israelies found numerous examples of them cheating.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TheProphet Really? I would have thought that would be huge news. Yet I heard absolutely nothing about it.

And even so, why would you trust Israel? Their own prime minister just bullied the US president into leaving the IND. I'd much sooner trust nonpartisan scientific authorities like the IAEA and FAS before I trust the Israelis.

Not to mention they have something to gain by lying. Iran is their biggest state enemy.
TheProphet · M
@BlueMetalChick It has been in the news. Of course they spy on iran, because they are their enemy.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TheProphet That's the point. If three different nonpartisan scientific institutions did over a dozen consecutive inspections and found no hidden materials, but a biased state enemy claims to have found them but can't produce evidence, who are you more likely to believe?
SW-User
Exactly, as Israel basically lied about the “so called” evidence they had against Iran, when that was old material that the public already knew about. @BlueMetalChick
TheProphet · M
@BlueMetalChick The professional spies. Scientific groups don't have the means to discover hidden secrets.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TheProphet And you'd think these spies would have brought back something to corroborate their discoveries. But I guess not.

Some professionals they are, huh?
TheProphet · M
@BlueMetalChick They recovered documents.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TheProphet And...did they publicize these documents? Or was it a "just trust us cos we said so" scenario?
SW-User
That’s exactly what it was, just so they could dismantle the nuclear deal. @BlueMetalChick
TheProphet · M
@BlueMetalChick They gave them to our intelligence agencies.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@TheProphet Of course they did. They conducted an honest and unbiased investigation and uncovered legitimate infractions of the Iran Nuclear Deal. It would be silly to assume that they have an ulterior motive based on the fact that they're a state enemy of Iran. I mean, it's not like Benjamin Netanyahu was caught on tape saying he forced Trump to pull out of the deal, right?

Oh wait...
SW-User
Shitanyahu should be in jail. @BlueMetalChick
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User Absolutely. Fucking genocidal war criminal piece of shit. Zionist cunt.
SW-User
He really is, he deserves to die a slow and painful death. #Fuckzionism. @BlueMetalChick
@TheProphet F- them - I dont trust them - And I know for a fact Trump doesn't trust them either.
