I am one...and it was okay
@MessieNessie are u okie?
MessieNessie · 36-40, F
@Dewms even if I told you I was you shouldn't believe me. I'm a sociopath.
@MessieNessie 😨😨😨😨 stahp scaring!

summersong · F
I had a dear friend who was a diagnosed sociopath. She was actually a really good friend, though in her own way. Helped me see things in a different way and stop taking shit from other people.
@summersong wow! This is a refreshing perspective *__*
There will be several around here, so yes.
@SapphicHeart that makes SW a dangerous and scary place in my eyes now 😯
@Dewms
It's always been, and isn't something new. Some of the sociopaths have commuted here from EP and were also popular back there. They're charming but yes, dangerous to their targets.
SassySarah · 41-45, T
@SapphicHeart to be really sure, you need to witness them in the workplace.....they have very low levels of concientienness and are fucking abysmal at their jobs. But they have a lot of lowest common denominator type of charm that helps them pull the wool over everyones eyes. Not me though.

Yes. I am a magnet for those. Some of my close friends are sociopaths.
They tell me they are.
Interaction with them can be amazing because they are really intelligent and understand things at a different depth. As long as you are not a target they decide to play mind games with.
@SW-User this is v interesting omg O__O
JonathanC · 61-69, M
Many sociopaths find their way to Southeast Asia. I got to know several during my times there. These are NOT nice people. Best to stay far from them.
SW-User
Yes a few in my professional life. I work in the field so it's an expected, albeit rare, occurrence. I speculate meeting one in my private life as well.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@SW-User Like you, I had the pleasure to work with offenders both in and out of prison when I was a lowly Parole Officer. From personal experience, I found some of my managers to have more sociopathic traits than the offenders.
SW-User
@Bushranger Wow Parole Officers are hardcore. I've shared clients with quite a few. It's not an easy job by any means. Thats an interesting statement but understandable. I've heard this before about some who work in the criminal justice system. It can definitely harden someone to point of becoming unsympathetic.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@SW-User Shouldn't really have said sociopathic, more socialised psychopathic. Also, I live in Australia, so maybe not as hardcore as you think, but still pretty full on. Have to admit that I preferred working in prisons, much nicer clientele.
Lol I think there are many on here dewms
@Stark REALLY???
SW-User
my ex wasn’t a sociopath but a narcissist
@SW-User how was it??
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
Yep, more than one.

They didn't express empathy in anything more than a heavily diminished way and very happily manipulated those they considered 'best friends' to achieve their own ends.
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@Dewms The sociopaths or their victims? It's a yes in both cases, though the sociopath's crying was... out of place, considering their position in the events.
@UndeadPrivateer its like manipulative crying?? Omg 😯 to gain sympathy??
UndeadPrivateer · 31-35, M
@Dewms Because they just feel so bad about what they did! Despite the fact it was ongoing for weeks/months on end and they expressed no remorse whatsoever prior and then afterward attempted to play it off like it was no big deal. Or in one case tried to rub it in the victims' face.

Sociopaths don't understand social norms, it's what makes them sociopaths and what differentiates them from psychopaths. They may express some empathy, but it is highly diminished and much of their emotional response is either visceral or manipulative with very little if any inbetween. A psychopath understands social norms but doesn't feel empathy at all or only experiences it under very extreme circumstances.
CheshireCatalyst · 36-40, M
I talk to myself all the time 😶

But I also worked with a few sociopaths/psychopaths (there's not really a difference)
@CheshireCatalyst are u one???

How?????
CheshireCatalyst · 36-40, M
@Dewms that list of traits that Sapphic posted is good, but it's a list of things that sociopaths do...if they're also really dumb! 😂

The problem with these studies and research is that it's all based on the people who have done awful things because of their condition. A lot of surgeons are psychopaths. The way they are makes them really good at that job.
@CheshireCatalyst not all of them are bad O__O but the traits serve as a warning omg
pandainpinktutu · 26-30, F
this question reminded me of the shane dawson doc series on jake paul. man, that stuff was creepy to watch.
@pandainpinktutu hahahaah i love that series!!! *__* logan paul and their dad are creepy af

My cousin a psychopath and suffers from ASPD. Ironically, he liked medicine and became a doctor. lol
@SW-User what kinda doctor?
SW-User
According to my ex therapist, I have sociopathic tendencies.
@SW-User do u think its true?
SW-User
@Dewms I suppose in a lot of ways it is. I think that it’s appropriate that she said tendencies, tho, as I don’t think I’m a full blown sociopath.
No, but you have. I'm one. I did your maths questions. You know I'm one because I told you so 😈
@BeefySenpie u aint a punkpie
SW-User

SW-User
@Dewms I usually wound up arresting them 😂
