Why do people put statements in the question section?

Side note: just because you put a question mark at the end of a statement...it doesn’t make it a question.

Because you’re required to select a group when stating it as a story and even then it’s not even technically a story a lot of the times. It’s a statement, so there’s really no where else to post statements. Also, a lot of the time the groups do not pertain to the statement being made people are also more willing to look at the question section than the story section given it a larger chance of it being replied to. The way the site is designed to make statements, questions, and stories isn’t the greatest it’s kind of limited when it comes to choosing the groups/topics to place these statements and questions under so I’m not certain why so many people have an issue with this as if the site is set up for you to post questions and statements under the correct topic or even group as a lot of them do not even describe or define what posters are attempting to post.
