When I was majoring in design I was not the best one in the class. There was this one massively talented kid who was so good that no matter what I did, I would never have been able to come close to the quality of his work. It was a hard lesson for me to learn, and a little bit of a heartbreak, that there will always be someone, somewhere who is better, faster, smarter, stronger, more talented.

@4meAndyou That is so true. But with rare exceptions, just as the brilliant, talented, motivated leaders that leave us in the dust are getting well under way, someone is coming along who will leave THEM coughing in their wake. Always somebody bigger, stronger, braver, smarter, tougher. If there isn't now, there will be. If you do happen to be the best of your time, it won't last.
