Why is it that some people dislike kimchi?

I love kimchi, can't make it so I buy in bulk to last 2 weeks to a month. I eat quite a bit of it and when I say bulk, it's usually a variation of cabbage, radish and cucumber. Probably 16 to 20 packets.
My colleague came to my place yesterday and she went to get a drink out of the fridge, she gagged and said it smells awful. I gave her some to try, she made this awful sound and facial expression.

Just because she has plain asf palate.

I dunno, fermented foods just turn me off. Sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha, etc. I guess miso soup is ok but it's not something I'd order on my own. The exception is pickles, I looooove pickles.
@BlueMetalChick
My fridge is full of fermented food. 😂

@Random1Thoughts Oi, careful there.

I love kimchee...I make it a lot. As it ferments on the counter for days...the whole kitchen smells like it. Very delicious on brown rice
@Fernie
I will learn to make it one day.

@Random1Thoughts It is as easy as making a salad. Are you thinking it is all complicated and exotic?
@Fernie
Yes, but you're right, I need to try make it.
It's good but fuck it smells so bad

I take some for lunch and since I am usually at work late so I pack em in a container. My colleagues at work always complain. 😂

Western noses often translate fermented veggies as "spoiled". I love natto (fermented soybean) and get the same kinds of comments from friends not used to it.

That's very true.
