What hurts the most?

Physical. I think that's why cutters use it to distract themselves from mental pain. There were times I was in so much physical pain, I couldn't think or feel past it. I just laid on the ground waiting for it to pass.

Oh physical pain tends to go away with time, sadly mental pain can last a lifetime.
