What is this iran deal?

What the f is America's problem again how the hell did they get there when iran is thousands of miles away from the us

The US government doesn't like the idea that countries like Iran might be capable of defending themselves against a US invasion.

@Lynda70 Well duh, then America might not be able to do like they did in 1958 and overthrow democratically elected leaders because they're upset that Iran wants to nationalize its oil wealth.
Lynda70 · F
@BlueMetalChick They did that in 1983 in Grenada too.

@Lynda70 Correct

Iran was in breach of its obligations, voluntarily entered into, under the Non-Proliferation Treaty. It was therefore subject to economic sanctions. Under President Obama the US, together with the other members of the Security Council and Germany, did a deal with Iran under which sanctions were lifted in return for partial and temporary compliance with NPT obligations by Iran. President Trump always said it was a bad deal and had now revoked it. I think he is right, but the other signatories say they will continue to comply with the deal.

@MartinII why would the west lift up sanctions against them I don't see anything wrong in which iran is doing right now
MartinII · 70-79, M
@Aliengel Firstly Iran is failing to comply with its obligations under the NPT. Remember that these are not obligations imposed on Iran by anybody else, they are obligations which it wiilingly signed up to when it acceded to the treaty. Secondly, Iran is funding Hamas to attack Israel, and is seeeking to dominate the Middle East at the expense of Saudi Arabia. Whether these things are “wrong” is a matter of opinion, but they are certainly contrary to western interests.

@MartinII OHH I see!, it was evil America who is the antagonist in this show by using the media to show false accusations and blame it on the country that wants to drop the us dollar to backed other currencies using their own oil rich resources

It's America's view that much of the rise in Islamic extremism and subsequent terrorist events under the umbrella of 'anti-west/pro-Islam' groups, are funded and or trained by Iran.

Iran has an embargo preventing it from selling it's oil to the West. Subsequently Iran is claiming 'poverty of it's people' and so a few years ago began trying to create nuclear power stations by way of alternative energy in the country.
These plants and subsequent testing have led some observers to think they are trying to acquire the ability to create nuclear weapons hence America's withdrawal from the agreement.
