I’m so sick of hearing this. I think the better question would be, why do black people keep throwing this up and won’t let it die? Let a dead dog lie, already...It’s the 21st Century!! There’s racism that goes both ways.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Whites are a common racism target because of their skin color. The narrative is if you are white, you are racist, therefore racism towards whites is somehow ok.
Peppa · 31-35, F
Because we always associate bad with dark, black etc etc
People are hyper critical and we're often considered uncivilized it's written in all those Christopher Columbus diaries and other explorers memoirs, they invaded and felt to teach us how to behave despite it not causing us any problems.
Whatever really. Different ways of thinking and feeling is making people think they're more superior, priveledged of an advantage.
We're "beneath" them because despite not being in slavery anymore our community is only just starting to prosper, but of all the other oppressed races and nations we're the only ones still awaiting compensation, freedom to live as we see fit without their input/hold over us. And because of that, that is why we still are treated with such a lack of regard and merely tolerated by others

@Peppa I hate to tell you this, but slavery ended in 1865. This is 2018. I was not responsible for what happened then. I wasn’t even alive. There’s no more prejudiced on the white side, than there is on the black. Your race just keeps bringing it up and won’t move on. You have the same privileges today as anyone else. Stop using racism as an excuse. It’s way past time to move on.

I don’t consider being black a “misfortune”. But that’s part of the attitude that may answer your question for you.
SW-User
@bijouxbroussard Kind of a weird statement he makes...
bijouxbroussard · F
@SW-User Yeah. 🙄
VolpeTredici · 31-35, M
People, in general, don't like differences.
VolpeTredici · 31-35, M

HoMi163 · 22-25, M

SW-User
@VolpeTredici That's what it ultimately comes down to.
racism is in every culture. people sadly cant see past their own differences
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
Black people are not the only ones who suffer from racism
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
Because people are constantly talking about race.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
It exists by intention and design.
sighmeupforthat · 46-50, M
honey, skin is a trait not a race.
i have black in me.................. and most 'blacks' i know have no heritage from any parts of africa.
so much for that argument.
people use their skin as an excuse...
skin color doesn't determine race.
sorry honey. IE: natives in the united states going back 90 yrs are highly likely to be mestizo.
and skin color ranges with mixed races, no matter how much people don't want that to be the truth.

That doesn’t contribute to the main topic mate ..

Racism against black people probably arose from the European perspective that Africa was uncivilized compared to European society. From there it turned into viewing Africans as sub-human, which justified slavery and general hatred of them.
bijouxbroussard · F
@SW-User And European arrogance and feelings of superiority and entitlement towards anyone not them.
Peppa · 31-35, F
@SW-User it's funny you mentioned Europeans considering us mentally inferior but much like the native Americans we were the first doctor's of the world given the fact our lands bared so much fruit, veg and herbs/spices. Which even today Europeans are only just cottoning on to and incorporating into their "medicines"

@MckTXGuy “Worse” is questionable. As badly is more likely. And many tribes have received reparations.
SW-User
@MckTXGuy That doesn't make it right, though.
Abbenthewarwolf · 18-21, M
@MckTXGuy for one they are not black people. But Americans also .And there is no American without them.do understand that and stop being a Neo Nazi.
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
Because white populations became industrial quicker than black populations, then the whites ran into the blacks after a long break between seeing them, so the new people who have never seen blacks started to think they were a different kind of people mind-wise simply because they were less developed culturally, and then they started raping and murdering them since the women were still pretty and they all still fought back.
