Why is there racism against black people?

Because white populations became industrial quicker than black populations, then the whites ran into the blacks after a long break between seeing them, so the new people who have never seen blacks started to think they were a different kind of people mind-wise simply because they were less developed culturally, and then they started raping and murdering them since the women were still pretty and they all still fought back.

@MartinTheFirst More or less how I've always viewed it. Disparity in cultural advancement led Europeans to determine that Africans were mentally inferior...and it all goes downhill from there.
