I'm glad my dad is still alive, but he is significantly older than me (he was 44 when I was born so he's in his 70s now) so I know he won't be around forever (he's already lived longer than both of his parents did) but I'll appreciate all the time I get with him. :)

I don't have a good relationship with my dad, but I feel this way about my mom sometimes even though I still live with her.

I don't really get along with my dad and have tried cutting off all contact with him several times. We're just too different to get along.. add the only thing we have in common: stubbornness.. and well I just can't stand the man.

I don't miss him cos I see him every day but if he were gone for a long time I would miss him very much.
