How large is it? I can't tell by the photo. It is arrowhead shaped....It could be some sort of tool (like a hide skinner as you suggested)... perhaps a spearhead? It's interesting to say the least.

Given the shape and the fact it appears to be thicker on one side I would say a small hand ax. One that size would be useful for splitting bones and retrieving the marrow.

I just can't tell with nothing to compare it to. If you're right then chances are it is an arrowhead. I've seen stone tools and the shape isn't quite accurate for that.
