Mixed feelings.

should you put your happiness before everyone else?
IWasCallingYaLarry · 26-30, M
No. That's stupid Hallmark movie bullshit. It never works out well.
LouLou2 · 22-25
Making others happy makes you happy, if you try putting yourself before others you won't have happiness
IWasCallingYaLarry · 26-30, M
@LouLou2 That's bluepilled beta bullshit. You focus on being a pleaser for your whole life, all you'll ever get is taken advantage of.

We should put our basic needs first, yes, but happiness? I agree with djones and Aden02 on this. Making others happy should make us happy. The only exception is people who just suck the life out of us and give nothing back. Those people need to be put at the bottom of our priority list.

With someone I care about It's like this (I'll use my wife as an example)...What she thinks, wants, needs, feels, believes, desires, etc. is just as important to me as my own and sometimes even more so. It's just a matter of priority based on respect and consideration.

you need to be happy but so do others. you should be happy making the people you care about happy.

@SW-User Best answer, in my opinion. I think the joy of bring joy to others has been lost.

You're young ! Plenty of time for all that 'Grown-Up' stuff later in life !

That's a good thing to have mixed feelings about.

Because the answer is yes or sometimes or no. There really isn't a constant.
Damn right. My happiness comes first and foremost. Since I’m the most important person on this planet. 😈
Trevo · 26-30, M
Kinda. So long that it won't keep others from being happy.
AnnMcNeil · 26-30, F
tuff questy. Co-dependence says yes, but gold heart says no
Fatneasy · 41-45, F
Yes, life is too short, so do whatever makes YOU happy
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
not fully but to some degree yes, you need to be a bit selfish in this world. Just don't hurt people and don't throw anyone under a bus.
Justenjoyit · 61-69, M
No what for that will end bad 😊
