Over my life it took me about 100 hours of therapy to come to terms with the degradation inflicted on me as a child/young adult.
Until one day I decided that I had been "therupped out".
I knew who I was and why I was who I was.
I was able to accept that what happened to me was beyond my control and I learnt to accept that I am who I am because of that early life of adversity. It made me a very powerful, empathetic person and I love the person I have become.
