What do you think of the IRA(Irish Republican Army)?

The original lot were certainly fighting for something that was admirable. The IRA in the civil war too arguably but they failed to recognise the desire for peaceful and political solutions. As the troubles came about then it became hard to find redeeming qualities in the Provos.

They seem to have achieved all that they can. They should dis-band. Brexit will finish the job, hopefully with no one getting killed..

I know nothing about them but I thought people considered them terrorists. I'm very ignorant on anything regarding them though.

Bunch of nationalistic murderers claiming to be freedom fighters when they're just a terrorist organization.

originally they had a true purpose and need, now they just are violent thugs killing people.

I don't know enough about it to say. I have English friends who consider them terrorists and Irish friends who see them as freedom fighters.
