Do you post for yourself or for the people?

I know it sounds like a dumb question but some users just post questions or stories to get more views and attention. I could never do that since i am no ways a people pleaser and personally i just post about what means most to me. The number of views or comments or likes dosent mean alot to me as it does to other people. But to each its own.
