What is North Korea planning to do if it gets an ICBM?

If it fires it, North Korea will be destroyed. All it can do is use it as a deterrent against being invaded by a US-South Korean force. But it still can't attack South Korea without being annihilated in a counter attack. Sounds like all they can do is force a stalemate.

north korea doesn't have any ICBM capable of delivering a nuclear warhead.
obviously they won't attack anyone but their nuclear program gives them security as no one will dare to attack them

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Of course the media wants something to happen, that way people will watch the TV and they can sell advertising slots at higher rates and make more money. That is why they make such a big deal out of little things.
