No matter our age we are all "babies". We still stumble and fall, learn and grow.
LindaM · 61-69, F
@Kaedyr well said!!

Well...yes and no. If you are of an age where you could physically HAVE a child of that age, then it is difficult to consider them in the role of partner. That doesn't mean there are not a lot of very mature 35 year olds out there, and a younger man can be fun. :)

Noo. If I were your age 35 year olds would already be too old for me. I would be that cougar who only dates guys in their early 20s ;)
CallmeJD · 51-55, M
yup. I am always calling my cousins in their early twenties kids. Don't expect that will ever change

@IstillmissEP do you think you could be in an intimate relationship with a 35 year old?

An old man goes into a Confessional. He says to the priest "Forgive me father, I must confess, I've been having a wild sexual relationship with a hot 24 year old single woman who adores me and fulfills my every desire."
The priest says "well, I'm glad you're happy, but you know having intercourse outside of the bonds of marriage is a sin. Say 3 Hail Marys and come back next week."
The old man says "I'm sorry father, I can't say Hail Marys, I'm Jewish."
The priest says "Jewish? Then why did you come here and confess your wild sexual relationship with a much younger woman?"
And the old man says "Because I can't help telling everyone!"

We're in your age, I would likely look back at my own accomolishments, dedication, morality, and character when I was young, and remember how distinctly infuriated I would be when someone refused to acknowledge my adulthood.

Than I would treat them like the adult they are.
Moosepantspatty · 31-35, M
@LindaM I apologize if my response came across as hostile. I only intended to demonstrate my thought process in context of the question.
Smileandwave · 46-50, F
@LindaM i know what u meant. An endearing term. Its because when we were that age we thought we were old. 30s no longer seem old.
LindaM · 61-69, F
@Moosepantspatty i really mean intimately ...20 years difference is alot...
No - a 35 year old is a grown man or woman not a baby. Ffs 😒
LindaM · 61-69, F
@TornByWater what about an intimate relationship...would you be able to ?
Yes - both grown up enough to know what you are doing but if he hangs on you, get rid. @LindaM
heavyone2 · 61-69, M
lol yes...35...oh how I wish I could go back....
LindaM · 61-69, F
A mere infant.
voodoo1970 · 51-55, M
It would really depend on context
LindaM · 61-69, F
@voodoo1970 wow good for her, she still got it!! 😉
voodoo1970 · 51-55, M
@LindaM She certainly did.... oh, sorry probably too much information, I misread that 😊
But yes she was in great shape ☺
And I found older women are great lovers because they know what they like and how to achieve it 😉
LindaM · 61-69, F
@voodoo1970 😉 😉 lol

No. A kid. If you were an adult when that person was born, then that person is a kid. A baby is anyone 5 and under.
LindaM · 61-69, F
@SW-User would have been 20 when that person was born and had a child...
EnigmaticGeek · 61-69, M
I am around your age. 35 definitely isn't a baby. My lower limit is typically 28.
LindaM · 61-69, F
@EnigmaticGeek i think you are older lol..i mean in an intimate way?
EnigmaticGeek · 61-69, M
@LindaM I'm 57 physically, but in my 30s emotionally, and mentally I'm wiser than most 70 year olds due to my continuous self-education efforts. I've dated women as much as 18 years younger than I (her 24, me 42), married them as much as 9 years younger (her 35, me 44).

Everyone's prefrontal cortex is pretty much fully formed by the time they are 28, hence that being my lower limit nowadays.
har7070 · 51-55, M
Not at all. In my circle of friends people in their 30s, 40s, 50s all mingle together
Swimmer · 61-69, M
Yes, I think I do, well at the very least I consider them a "kid"
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Probably not as bad as chronology suggests.

no, 30 is that part of age where you have some idea wtf is going on
LindaM · 61-69, F
@SW-User what about sexually?
Lol
I have much older friends and I am always referred to as "you're still a baby" in that stupid voice.
I know that they're referring to my age without thinking about my life experiences
@IntoMeYouSee To paraphrase, 36-40 is a "grown arsed woman" and should be respected as such. 😃
@bijouxbroussard exactly! Lol
No hes still a grown ass middle aged man no matter how old you are. Your age doesn't affect his.
No, that's more about the person. A 20 year old maybe. But I know some mature 20-somethings, too. 🙂
Mrsbetweenfatandfit · 31-35, F
Same as someone twenty years your senior would consider you a baby.
I think it is a common thought held my many
Swimmer · 61-69, M
@Mrsbetweenfatandfit I agree. I remember my grandparents always referring to my mom and her friends as "babies".
