There is an increasingly likely chance, that we will have a "Similar Worlds App" available on App Stores fairly soon.

We would however, like to receive some final feedback, with regards to demand and usage, across certain categories of users.

More specifically, Android and iPhone smartphone users.

Where would you prefer using SW the Most? (SW App? Website/Browser?)

and/or

Where do you see yourself using SW most often, if you had the option of both a SW App, or using via a web browser on you preferred device?

Thanks and kind regards!

An important question we would like to ask also, more specifically towards iPhone/iPad/Apple users:

[big]How important is the existence of a SW App to you? (iPhone/iPad users)[/big]

Ideally, we would love to have one also, although, there are a lot more hurdles and barriers, to successfully publishing an Apple Store App.

Upon our research, we made a hypothesis...
which is that iPhone users are a bit more "Comfortable" with using the phone's default Browser (Safari), than Android users are.

As many Websites and Services do not (and cannot) exist as Apple Store apps, it's possible that iPhone users have become accustomed to using the default web browser for munch of their daily online activity.

Can you please comment on this (iPhone/iPad/Apple users)?
Please share your views and feedback.

Thanks!

@Andrew As an avid apple user i can say that having an app for those who use SW frequently would be amazing! While web browsers seem to handle this site pretty well (i do experience glitches), having an app would be much more convenient. If itโ€™s going to make the user experience even easier, more accessible and reliable, i think an app would definitely be worth it and i would use the app over logging in on a browser.

@Andrew I have an iphone and I only use the browser because the app is not available.

Once or if it does, itโ€™s very doubtful Iโ€™ll continue using the browser. Personally Iโ€™ve experienced slow loading times and Safari crashing as well as image upload problems.

Now Iโ€™m not sure what issues are to do with my phone, the browser or the site itself. So Iโ€™m hoping an app might solve some of these. Maybe maybe not, but Itโ€™d be nice for you folk to take a crack at having an app.

@Andrew I manage fine without an app on my phone but it would be even more convenient, a novelty:)

@Andrew Super frikkin important. Like being able to chat through an App would make SW WAY better instead of waiting for an email.

@Andrew browser for me.

@Andrew I am an iPhone user and Safari works well . I also use my PC to access SW. No real issues with either . Obviously safari works a little better with wifi .

@Andrew not important
browser works just fine

@Andrew I have an old iphone phone,I get constant glitches on the safari browser so an app that works on an older model would be great(4s)
@TexChik yes safari is the best

@Andrew An app would be quite nice. The browser works fine, but itโ€˜s difficult to have a conversation via chat, because it gets slower and slower with each message send and received. Dont know if Iโ€˜m the only one affected by that, but it surely would be much smoother via app.

@Andrew I would only use the browser version. I donโ€™t like to have too many apps.

@Andrew as i didnโ€™t make clear i only have iPads. No smart phone.I only use apps for streaming and banking( just remembered i have Pinterest but i use only for instant chat with a fellow SW member).Browser all the way.

@Andrew I mostly use my iPad with Firefox or Chrome, not safari. Some days i use the desktop if I want a good keyboard. Almost never use my iPhone except in emergencies cos I hate typing on a small screen. Dont care either way about an app.
@Andrew I've used a browser on my Android phone, and I've recently purchased an iPhone.

For the sake of privacy, shared resources, and annoying ads that take up a lot of time on Apps, I prefer the Browser version on all my devices.

I have an iPad, PC, and Android phone that I use simultaneously based on where I am, and I'm sure there are others like me. Incognito browser mode is what I prefer no matter where I login from.

Thank you! Loved the pinned Admin announcement feature btw. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š

@seeandhear yes, there no need of an app

@Andrew I am now comfortable using the browser for my SW activity.

Easier to delete my history.

But I would not mind an app at all.

@Andrew Iโ€™d give an app a go to see if it was any better, but this is fine.
@JustNik exactly, this site gets the job done

@Andrew Iโ€™m fine accessing SW via Safari on my iPhone. I probably wouldnโ€™t use an app unless it had much better functionality than the mobile web version.

@Andrew to me, itโ€™s something that I wished for a long time ago, and would make a big difference in how useful the site is

@Andrew I was using Safari for the longest time for SW on my iPhone, but 2 weeks ago, I came across an issue that lasted for several days, so I started using Google Chrome.
MarkPaul ยท 26-30, M
@Andrew I'm certainly comfortable using Safari, but the the convenience of an app would make the site more usable when on the go.
