What If Your Thoughts Are Affecting Your Health Without You Realizing It?

Can Your Thoughts Affect Your Body?

This is a topic that has fascinated me for years.

There is an approach called Mind Medicine (or Mind-Based Healing), which explores the relationship between our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and physical health. It does not suggest ignoring medical care. Instead, it encourages us to look at how chronic stress, unresolved emotions, and long-term thought patterns may influence our well-being.

Take weight gain as an example.

Sometimes people eat because they are hungry. But sometimes they eat because of stress, loneliness, fear, emotional pain, or the need for comfort. In those situations, food becomes an emotional response rather than a physical need.

One helpful first step is to ask yourself:

- What emotion am I trying to escape right now?
- Am I eating because I'm hungry, or because I'm stressed?
- What happened today that made me want to eat more?

Simply becoming aware of these patterns can be an important first step toward healthier habits.

I'm interested in discussing the connection between the mind, emotions, and the body with people who are open to this perspective.

If this topic interests you, or if you'd like to share your own experience, feel free to leave a comment or send me a private message. I'd be happy to talk with you.

Oh, I realize it…that’s why I practice mindfulness.

Not enough objective studies being done on this. Mostly because it's not as conclusive as it might seem.

Problem is this is a massive money maker. So objective studies just are not going to happen. They have been proven wrong by objective studies before.

So it's still a money problem.

Ask why hypnotism doesn't always work with smokers? 🤷🏻‍♂ It's more than not wanting to, if you expect to work.

I think it can be the opposite. I have a lot of health issues and they pretty much define my life now.
Careful what you read, everyone is trying to manipulate you. Look at religion, if people could take a step back from it, forget all the mind games that have been played on them to make them believe, and then go back and look at it again with a fresh perspective they would instantly see how insane the whole thing is.
When you see ads on Facebook, know they are trying to direct you to believe what they want you to believe. This is Trumps strategy, if he says a lie enough times, people believe it, it works.
If you read that a mole = cancer then your body might react as though it is.

How can anyone answer this question if they don’t realize it?
