2001: A Space Odyssey. 1st movie that made me think about the filmmaking process. It's why I became a photographer/videographer

Mulholland Drive. It's an art piece. No other movie left me feeling so unsettled. Great visual style, great soundtrack and sound design, interesting story and cool mindfuck. I love how the dinner scene is a complete nightmare for someone with social anxiety. It was the failure on all fronts, work, personal relationship, such painful example of social humiliation that everyone with social anxiety dread the most. That jump from a sweet daydream to harsh reality was the epic slap in the face for the viewer.

The Silence of the Lambs. The acting skills and chemistry between Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins was incredible. And the adaptation of Thomas Harris's novel was outstanding.
