I moved to GA 7 years ago for a job

Been living near Savannah. It was great at first but I have had a hard time making real friends. They are very friendly but don’t accept me into their friend circle. Oh but when they need something im the one they call

That's how the south is. I grew up in TN my whole life. They're very exclusive with their own, outsiders have a hard time integrating. I was ostracized even though I grew up there, because my family didn't have lineage there- my grandparents were all European or Australian immigrants (legally) to the US, and my parents and I just weren't accepted. We were still "foreigners" to the southerners.

@DearAmbellina2113 My family has been here since way back in the beginning.Basically and I personally am still not close friends with much of anybody around here

I grew up in GA and know exactly what you are talking about. Unless a person became active in a church and formed connections there, they never seemed to be accepted. People would be friendly, but you never were invited to their house for dinner. I live in a part of TX where almost everybody is from somewhere else. It's easier to make friends here.

I have experienced a lot of that in Georgia as well.I am down near the thomasville area and it seems to be the way that people around here operate. North florida is almost kind of the same way. It is the one thing I do miss from the west coast

Why are you not accepted?

@Tumbleweed even though I’m very friendly and nice, just feel like the ladies don’t want to include me in their friend circles. I guess I just haven’t met the right friends for me

Don't answer when they call.

Just say "y'all" a lot and chew tobbacky and talk about your guns and how hot your sister is!
