I think so but not the Democrats and Maga. The disgusting offshoot of the once proud Republicans
novaguy2u · 70-79, M
@looking4thesun Sadly the rest of the Republican party seems to be falling in line behind MAGA and the balance of the extreme Right wing.

@Thrust Your thoughtful and insightful response is appreciated. It's gladdening that so many intellectuals add considered thought to this debate.

If you ask denizens of this site - no.
My personal experience is less so extreme.

I am way more right libertarian than one of my hippie boomer co workers. If we ignore specific politicians, we are not that far apart and actually are quite good friends. We have pretty good conversations but there is no hate as she knows I am not a N@xi and I know she comes from a point of view of wanting to be fair and just. We disagree on some things but neither of us are closed minded.

The anger fed by the elites is really depressing. I wish people stuck with the idea of questioning what they are told but i think it may be too late for that. I predict harsh responses to this - my one and only political comment.
Remember, all of us have different experiences and hatred is counterproductive.
fun4us2b · M
They can and they are. The extremists are where the troubles exist, but there seem to be more than usual. I'm a moderate, so everybody hates me 😂
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
I mean the Republicans are on a campaign to move the US into a single-party state and permanently crush and suppress their opposition.

The Democrats are responding by trying to report them to the hall monitor.

There is no reason for the Republicans to want cordial relations they're winning without them. The goal is power, not compromise with your friendly opponent.
BigGuy2 · 31-35, M
@CountScrofula ... so the Lawfare that's been happening against Trump - trying to eliminate your opponent anyway possible - is not an attempt at a single party State

🤔 ... what other countries do that:

China & Russia

... so you's nutjobs are Commies 🤪🤪🤪
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@BigGuy2 Explain to me why he's not in jail rn

One side pathologizes the other side with accusations of "phobias", so I don't think so. A phobia is a pathology. Societies that pathologize opinions have a dark history.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
There was a day when but that has changed. I'm not saying what I think. Don't want to start WWIII.
exchrist · 31-35
I think they can but among the actually elected officials it seems few and far between.
Sevendays · M
Probably not but that would be nice. It seems like everyone is blaming the other side for all the stuff that's wrong with this country.
SW-User
I'd like to think so.
KingofBones1 · 46-50, M
No they cannot and I will tell you why.... the far right extremists now Have gone so far as to start censoring the internet.Banning personal choice and now will be deciding who and what can operate here
Thrust · 56-60, M
@KingofBones1 Gee that never has ever happened with the other side. Derp
KingofBones1 · 46-50, M
@Thrust Never.
Said that but it doesn't make it right period no matter how you fucking twist it
KingofBones1 · 46-50, M
@Thrust Censorship and outright bans are wrong , no matter who Initiate it.

And I can see you are a childish just like the Postal inspector I would imagine you would probably put your hands over your ears too if you didn't like What was being sad
In Heaven - maybe
Very. It's the leftist Greens and Socialists that they exclude from US politics.
Yes and they should for the sake of humanity
fun4us2b · M
@pripyatamusementpark Agreed. They are out for their own sake...we should be voting for competence, not ideology...

@fun4us2b I wish there were more Republicans like you. Centrist Dem here. Let’s do business!
theweekdy · 22-25, M

Anniedlr · 26-30, F
It doesn’t seem so.

Iwillwait · M
Prolly not until this Is all over.
Where's the fun in that?
Atlotto · M
Time will tell.

Pfuzylogic · M
reagan started this schism and made it and our national debt much larger!
Greyjedi · M
When pigs fly maybe. Republicans are still mad because they don’t have the exclusive right to the idea of capitalism, they have to share it with Democrats. Democrats are pissed because they have to share the concept of law and order with Republicans. They are both so spiritual.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
If the left ever pulls their head out
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
No! Foots in asses!
swirlie · F
No, because the Republican Party no longer exists. The best we can do with that mix is to hear the Dems talking to themselves. What else you got in your box of questions?
