The sun is not a planet, it's a star.

"coldness" is not emitted. There's only heat

The moon would probably go out first; someone’s always forgetting and leaving it on in the morning…
I'm not sure, all the talk of climate change, the planet over heating, maybe we need to get rid of the source of the problem... The sun🌞😆
@AbsolutelyFabulous Just turn it down a bit. It's getting through fuel at the rate of 600 000 000 tonnes a second. That's really wasteful.
@NortiusMaximus that's very true!!!

@AndysAttic Which galaxy do you come from?

Speaking of the Sun and the Moon, have you ever thought about how you can't see the Sun's rays hitting the Moon's surface when it's night time? We can see the effect but we can not see the actual Sun rays zooming through the darkness to the Moon. But if you had an object between the Sun and the Moon, the sunlight rays would illuminate the object even if you were off to the side and could not see the Sun's rays in the darkness. But, we can see all of the stars in the night sky.

What I'm trying to say is that shouldn't the Sun be like a flashight shining on an object in the dark where you can see the flashlight's beam from the side?

Sometimes i wish that it could be dark for a month straight but i know crime would be up through the roof. Its the only time that i feel relaxed. I often say that sleep is my favorite hobby. I bought black out curtains and it still isnt dark enough. Theres just Something about siting in pitch dark with only your thoughts to keep you company.

How do we know for sure that the “sun” isn’t just the light emitted from the eye of the koala that the earth rests on the back of? I’m pretty sure that “sunsets” and “sunrises” are just the beginning and end of cosmically slow blinks.
hunkalove · 61-69, M
If'n the Sun went out we could just get another one. There are plenty of stars in the sky.
@hunkalove Are there? They might of all gone out by now. The next nearest one is 4 light years away so, if it went out today, we shouldn't know for another 4 years. ;)
Is there not an on/ off switch? Or can the Sun simply be rebooted?
The Sun isn't a planet, it's a star.

@NortiusMaximus Sorry, but at least I got everything else right.
Snuffy1957 · 61-69, M
We would not have the light of the moon... which comes from the sun..
Just sayin'
AndysAttic · 56-60, M
@Snuffy1957 I see, how fascinating.

@Snuffy1957 speaking of moonlight, I’ve just realised that vampires can’t go out under moonlight as it’s technically sunlight 🤷🏻‍♂

Elon tusk can just send another rocket with a lit match. No need for nukes
@deadgerbil What if some planets have trees? You could start a forest fire!
Hazen · 31-35, F
The Sun is actually a Star .. 😄

@Hazen This is satire 😉

@SW-User I know! 😄

Well, for starters it would be very cold and quite dark
