Thought of the day.

Who was your biggest influence on who you are today, your mother or father?
akindheart · 61-69, F
sadly neither. i pretty much raised myself
Mardrae · F
Both of them made me the miserable, self loathing , fearful, angry , bitter, sarcastic person that I am today! 😂
My grandmother. I loved her. She was dear to me and I respected her.
Patientlywaiting · 46-50, F
I'm a little bit like both probably more my mother but also I spent a lot of time being raised by other family members and friends so their influence is there too.
Funlov · M
@Patientlywaiting that’s a nice thing to be bit of both 😉
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
Both equally influential 🙂
Sutten · 36-40, F
Grandfather
Funlov · M
@Sutten yes always a big factor in life they are
Sutten · 36-40, F
@Funlov He was the best :)

Prob my mom. But I’m quiet like dad. Mom was very outgoing and social. I can’t really help it, I’d like to be more outgoing but I just can’t do it.

Anyway, thankfully I have moms smarts. I may be the only one who inherited them.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
My mom. She prepared me for a future neither of us expected, by teaching me how to be a strong woman due to her own battles
hunkalove · 61-69, M
Whenever I have to make a decision I ask myself what would my parents do? Then I do the opposite.
Funlov · M
My mom and dad I grew up on military bases my dad always gone so mom was very strong lady still is
Da externally personality wise but Mum internally… it’s complicated. A pretty good mix, honestly.
WhateverWorks · 36-40
Probably my mother in a ‘reverse role model’ sort of way

mother had a bigger belt
Probably Mum but Dad is a good example of how to be a humble, hard working man

Both were terrible influences on me but easily my father was worse.
alan20 · M
I admired my father more. My mother was ultimately too selfish.
Slade · 56-60, M
Dad. Although mom was much easier to deal with

The both influenced me on how not to be.
My dad definitely gave me plenty of issues.
Pretty even, slight edge to my dad
Bluebirdsonmyshoulder · 46-50, F

I took a little from both. But I think I'm more like my dad than he realizes, or than I'm willing to admit. Wait, I just admitted it. Carry on!
DDonde · 31-35, M
I think both equally.
In terms of personality I am more like my father.
MonaReeves86 · 36-40, F
