I suspect this money trail will derail soon. SARSCOV2 will become another common cold virus like all the others have. We have hundreds of viruses that give us symptoms that we call a "cold", when they were new they did lots of damage, indeed when we (in Europe) came to the Americas we brought them with us to a population that hadn't encountered them before - that population suffered greatly as a result at the time.
The vaccines probably helped to an extent but they are only short term and longer term is to have natural immunity like we do with the other viruses. Natural immunity doesn't mean we don't get colds - the fact that we get colds and don't die is natural immunity. The bulk of the symptoms we get from a cold aren't the virus but rather our immune system doing it's thing. If you take away someones immune system (e.g. through illness such as cancer or immunosupression) then regular viruses are just as lethal as SARSCOV2.

@Redstar They made all sorts of pronouncements about the virus that were untrue. One of the first was that it was spread by fomite which means by touch - odd for a respiratory virus. Most respiratory viruses spread through the air - being breathed out of the respiratory system. I'm not saying that it cant' be spreadh by touch - of course it can but the majority of transmission is through aerosol which are incredibly tiny particles that are not stopped by a fabric face covering. There is a reason why people working with viruses use (or should use) systems that prevent them breathing in these particles and not fabric face coverings. The reason surgeons/dentists use masks is to stop them dripping saliva onto/into patients - not to stop them spreading or picking up disease. There was a trial done where some surgeons didn't wear masks for a set of operations and turned out not to make a difference anyway although I daresay they didn't spit in patients wounds. 🤣
