How do I remove myself from a group?

i am now a member of a number of groups that I don't want to be associated with.
thanks for the suggestion I mute those groups, but it still shows me as an [i]interested member.[/i]
i have not seen any button, or option
i did not join these consolidated groups, and miss the now vanished content
Am I missing something?

Go to the group and tap the check mark on the right side
It should remove you from the group
Or rather following it

@Amylynne think hierarchy.

New group A is created. You are subscribed to. B.1

You don't want anything to do with group C.2 yet both are being moved to A group

So both B1 and C2 are notified they are being moved to A group so your group is now A.1 And your hated group is now called A.2.

All in the A group are notified though.

It's an hour later, you're probably already done but a quicker way would be to go to the list of groups and tap/click on the checkmark.
