The west has more internet users.

China has a many, but I am not sure they are allowed to come here. That leaves only India, which still has relatively lower internet penetration

@SW-User Yes the Chinese Wall is back. 😐
@SW-User Pakistan, Korea, Turkey, Kuwait, Armenia, Laos, Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia…and several countries I can’t spell. All represented here.

@bijouxbroussard I don't recall any Armenians save for a friend of mine who is ethnically Armenian but lives in Canada.
@basilfawlty89 There were a couple of Armenian posters who were discussing the genocide with me awhile ago. I don’t know if they’re still here—but they have been.

@bijouxbroussard I should look. I have a deep love and interest in Armenian culture and history and speak some of the language.
@basilfawlty89 One of them told me on the show Mannix the title character is of Armenian descent (as was the actor Mike Connors) and there are a couple of episodes that address the culture and language.

@bijouxbroussard
Mike Connors
Krekor Ohanian, actually. But maybe "Mike Connors" sounded better to the average American ear in the 1960s... 😏

@helenS a lot of Armenians anglicised their names in order to avoid discrimination. Like both Steve Jobs's adoptive parents were Armenians, but they anglicised their name to Jobs.

@basilfawlty89 I'm just the same; I anglicized my real name to "Helen" on SW.

@SW-User Before covid sw was not blocked in China.
@helenS Yes, that was the name he chose as an actor. And it was definitely easier to find work with an anglicized name back then.

@bijouxbroussard "Gregory O'Hanian" would sound Irish 😏
@helenS True, although “Connors” did, too. 😄
