Yes! I haven't watched television in years.
I think if people would stop getting their info from mass media, they would be able to critically think. But, people just take in what they're given.

If your college, community or otherwise, offers creative problem solving take it. I also vaguely remember about these boys building a robot and it either leaked or wasn't buoyant enough using tampons to solve the problem.

When I was in school, back when we still had chalkboards, were big on memorization and rarely let us team up to work out a problem.

That reminds me of something my friend's Great Aunt used to say... she referred to those kinds of people as: "Educated Jackasses"
