@1PrivateHannah Sounds lovely. I'm in south Florida, very tropical here. How do you like your tropical island 🏝
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@SouthernGuy1987 I don't like it because it's summer all year round unless there's a typhoon or storm.
I envy the countries with 4 seasons.

@1PrivateHannah Must be nice for certain places to have all 4 seasons. Wish I knew what that was like lol

I wish our daughter's life was easier for her.
Cigarguys · 41-45, C
@1PrivateHannah we have worked with therapist and a neurologist for years and we are making progress. She is getting stronger and being able to handle her struggles better every day. I just hate that we have to do this for her. But we are so proud of her.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Cigarguys Our children's struggles are also ours. I feel you.

@1PrivateHannah If I might recommend EMDR therapy for your daughter, it is supposed to be VERY effective for PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, M
I’d like to be like Samantha Stevens and be able to clean my entire house just by wiggling my nose

No more pain for anyone. Stress, grief, trauma, anxiety, physical suffering... all of it gone for everyone. One day it will be because Jesus is coming back. Today would be a good day for that. ❤
Musicman · 61-69, M
That my wife would regain all the strength in her legs.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@Musicman true. My older brother is always kidding me whenever we meet because I walk very slow. "Are you 70 years old? You're too young for that illness."
It only started in August. I'm seeing an orthopedist. I hope medication and a change of lifestyle could bring back my normal health again. I'm thinking positive.

A weapon free, conflict free world. Were people accepted each other's differences and just got on with life.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@MrAverage1965 no war. Your wish is for the greater good of mankind, not personal gain like mine 😔
Very mature but unrealistic because greed grows from some people's heart & mind.

What do I wish for? Nothing really, I already have everything that I need. I have 4 seasons to live in and 4 sets of clothes in my closet to accommodate each season, I even have different tires for my car to accommodate winter after summer is over.
Without 4 seasons, I've discovered that life can become nothing more than a continuum of sameness... more of the same, same, same with no difference between one day and the next, one year and the next. Before you know it, some old friends are gone and you weren't even aware of the passage of time that took them there.
Once specific thing about living a life within a 4 season environment, is the awareness of the beginning of a new growth cycle which of course begins in the springtime of a 4 season environment. Then at the end of the 4th season, everything goes into dormancy but doesn't necessary die off. Every piece of perennial vegetation goes to sleep for about 3 months and then wakes up and starts to reproduce itself all over again in the form of blossoms and seed cones.
I've lived in Caribbean islands for extended periods of time and the one thing that keeps bringing me back to Canada several times each year, is what each season offers to those who show up and participate. 🇨🇦

@swirlie very well said. Your contentment is appreciated.

I wish my son could be himself and be in an academic environment that encouraged his intelligence. I wish he had a family or friends that felt like family. And no fear of who he is because of bullies.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@EldritchFox my son was bullied too in gradeschool.. I went to the school and demanded a meeting with the directress and the mother of the kid. The bullying stopped.
He's now in college & very friiendly. He even hosted a friend's birthday here in my house.

If I could wake up and not be in pain, that would be amazing. :) I haven't had a pain-free moment in sixteen years and it's starting to wear on me pretty badly.
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@thepeculiarpanda awww... You're too young for suffering that much. More (((((HUGGSS))))
thepeculiarpanda · 36-40, M
@1PrivateHannah It has definitely been an odd journey! I think I'm better off for it though, I'm a much better person than I would have been otherwise I think. :)
1PrivateHannah · 51-55, F
@thepeculiarpanda good thinking.
