You get a promised income of 5K/month per adult in a household, free and clear with no strings attached. What do you do with your life?

Just a hypothetical. Think long term. If you decide to stay home and do nothing, would you get bored after some time? If you kept working and invested the extra, for how long?

I’d live on a cruise ship. It’s cheaper and the food and entertainment and destinations are phenomenal.

Study.
Learn things that are actually useful.
Cooking. Car maintenance. First aid. Electrical engineering. Plumbing. Boiler repair. Counselling. Economics.

@Stereoguy I've no desire to 'take what i know to......Africa and enlighten the masses !'
I just think how much more useful would you be as a neighbour ?

@Stereoguy I don’t think Kauai is

I’d rent a house in Europe for half the year, and learn the language. Other than this, I don’t know at the moment. I’m still trying to figure out a “new” life for myself, and I still don’t know what that looks like.

I’d like to buy some land to build a home on and a treehouse (big enough to sleep in) in the back yard. And a greenhouse to start growing veggies & herbs & a nice garden.

Attend school and learn new things. Volunteer in schools. Go on field trips with my nieces and nephews so I can make memories with them.

I just use it to pay for my mother's medications/hospital bills, and maybe find a larger place for my family to live. And buy groceries for them, and get a tutor for my little sister since she very likely has a learning disability. I might use some for school things I need, but I'd give the rest of it to my mother so she could buy things that make her happy.

I'd educate myself, travel, and invest in community causes I care about to keep busy. Try and make things better and all that.
I would quit my job and I would use the money to live on. Then I would use my time to help others in some way.

I'd take a trip.
find some people I can stand living with, buy a big tract of land, ... on and on. I'd have many plans.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
I would invest some and then use part of it for basic necessities but also for school classes.
Too good to be true, I can't believe it.
